I trade a combination of equities and stock options in an attempt to eliminate risk from my portfolios and consistently outperform the S&P500. Much of my trading involves the use of technical analysis and candlestick charting. One the side, I am currently learning how to trade currencies as well as regularly contributing to the financial website Seeking Alpha. Currently in college where I am majoring in Economics, I plan on turning my interests in the markets into a full time career. When I am not trading, I can be found playing golf, listening to good music, and just enjoying life.

I trade using a macro view of the markets, placing a strong emphasis on the fundamentals. I am also a big believer in technical analysis. I currently attend the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. I have been trading both stocks and options for the past two years, trading my own portfolio to withstand both bull and bear markets. I am currently a contributing member of the financial website Seeking Alpha and I plan on using my future entrepreneurial accomplishments to better understand the companies I invest in from and internal/managerial perspective with the goal of lowering risk within my portfolios. When I am not trading, I can be found playing golf, as well as developing my own small business in Ithaca, New York.

About the site:

This website was formed in late 2006 by Andy under the title So-Cal Options Trader. The goal then was to create a website that detailed his own investments in the markets, as well as make every day trading strategies more available to the average investor. The site quickly evolved over the course of the next year and the response from short-term and long-term investors was exceptional. This lead to the development of an all new site, along with a new contributor and close friend of mine, Sulaman Chaudhry. Our goal is to deliver top notch, unbiased analysis and commentary to the financial community, something that we will strive for everyday.
